Workshops

Drum Making

Our Directors are currently working on grant proposals to fund workshops for the 2017/18 year. Workshops are by registration only and priority to T'Sou-ke First Nation and TAG members.

Upcoming workshop June 8 & 22, 2017:

Ta Liais Trena Sutton

A Vision Board put to the Medicine Wheel facilitated by Ta Liais Trena Sutton

The purpose of a vision board is to help you get really clear in your mind what you want with health, relationships, work, and your dreams for being as happy as you can. It is believed that if you focus on it everyday, it will come to you faster. As Indigenous people we know that to live a balanced life we need to take care of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Ta Liais Trena Sutton will walk us through creating a vision board put to the medicine wheel. Ta Liais is an active member of T'Sou-ke Nation. She has been teaching in schools for 18 years, most of these years in the role of First Nations enrichment and special ed teacher. She has a Master of Education in Indigenous Language Revitalization and her website: beingtsouke.com is a way to share her experience growing up T'Sou-ke and a way to connect with others.

If you have magazines, please bring them. This is a fun chance to cut and paste and collage what you envision for your best self.

June 8 and 22, 6:30-8:30pm

Room for 12 participants. To register, email: tsoukeartsgroup@gmail.com by June 6.

Registration is free. Donations of up to $5 accepted at the door to help cover costs.
